" I started Groundwork because I kept watching people do everything right (good income, real effort) and still have no plan connecting it all together. Your taxes, your business, and your goals should be handled by one person who sees the whole picture.

Financial Coaching

It's why we're "Tax & Planning," not just tax prep.

Most tax preparers stop at the return. Groundwork doesn't. Financial coaching is a core part of what we do, not an add-on: real budgeting systems, real conversations about the big decisions, and someone in your corner who actually knows your numbers.

Common Questions

Before you get started.

Do I have to commit to a whole year?

No. Most people start with a single one-time service: a return, a bookkeeping cleanup, an S-corp setup, or just one advisory call. The Groundwork Year is there if you ever want an ongoing partner, but it's completely optional.

Is this only useful during tax season?

Not at all, you can book a one-time service any time of year. And if you go with The Groundwork Year, that's built to be a year-round relationship: quarterly meetings, planning ahead of deadlines, and support whenever a decision comes up, not just in April.

Do you manage my investments?

No. We offer financial coaching (budgeting, cash flow, setting up tools like Monarch, and working through big money decisions) alongside tax planning and business strategy, but we're not investment managers and won't pitch you products.

How is pricing determined?

One-time services are priced individually, you'll see starting prices listed with each one. The Groundwork Year works differently: your fee depends on the complexity of your tax and business situation, and we scope it during the application and a short call so you'll know your exact monthly fee before committing to anything.

What happens after I apply?

We review your application, and if it looks like a good fit, we'll schedule a short call to talk through your situation, answer questions, and walk through pricing before anything is finalized.

Who is Groundwork a good fit for?

Entrepreneurs and business owners, real estate investors, and people whose income and complexity have outgrown a once-a-year tax appointment and want one advisor connecting the whole picture.
